Acoustic
Pulse Recognition |
APR touch screens use a completely new
and unique way of sensing touches on a display. Consisting
only of a glass overlay mounted in front of the display,
together with a small electronic controller board, Elo's
APR technology provides a new set of benefits that have
only been partially achieved before by other touch technologies.
APR combines the ultimate in optical qualities, durability,
and stability, with excellent dragging properties, along
with stylus, glove and fingernail activation, and low
cost advantages. In addition, it is resistant to water
and other contaminants on the screen, can be scaled
from PDA to 42-inch displays, and provides palm rejection.
APR works in a simple and elegant way—by recognizing
the sound created when the glass is touched at a given
position.

Resistive 5-Wire
AccuTouch |
Elo’s AccuTouch touchscreens,
the proven market leader in fivewire resistive technology,
are the
preferred solution for applications that demand reliability,
input flexibility, and contamination resistance.
AccuTouch touchscreens, with its patented technology,
deliver a touch response that is drift-free and
accurate in high-use applications. Compare the five-wire
design of AccuTouch, where both X and Y
measurements are made on the stable rear glass layer
vs. other resistive technology designs where the
flexing plastic coversheet is used to measure one axis.
AccuTouch touchscreens provide a longer product life
backed by a five-year warranty—withstanding more
than 35 million touches vs. the one-year warranty typical
with four/eightwire manufacturers. AccuTouch touchscreens
can be sealed against contamination and certified to
meet NEMA 4/4x/12 and IP 65 standards. AccuTouch touchscreens
are the ideal solution for POS, voting machines, industrial
automation, medical equipment, retail, office, and pharmacy
automation.

Resistive 4-Wire |
Elo’s AT4 four-wire resistive
touchscreens are the cost-effective touch solution for
small form factor
applications while providing reliability, low power
consumption, and narrow border width. The AT4
touchscreens enable broad input flexibility, with finger,
gloved hand, or stylus activation, and it’s the
ideal touch solution for portable devices, office automation,
light industrial automation, medical equipment, and
consumer products. The AT4 four-wire resistive touchscreens
are another quality product from Elo TouchSystems, the
complete touch solutions provider.

SAW iTouch |
iTouch touchmonitors, utilizing patented
touch-on-tube surface wave technology, are the ultimate,
picture-perfect touch solution for applications that
demand high image quality. Touches are sensed
through surface waves on the CRT faceplate itself. By
completely eliminating the touchscreen overlay, Elo
preserves 100% of the original picture quality, including
clarity, colors, and brightness, and reflections are
reduced by up to 80% compared with a traditional touchscreen
overlay. With its super-sensitive, stable, drift-free
operation and no parallax, Elo's iTouch touchmonitors
guarantee a touch response that is on target. CRT touchmonitors
with iTouch are available from Elo in desktop and open
or closed frame chassis configuration from 15"
to 21".

SAW IntelliTouch |
Elo’s IntelliTouch touchscreens,
utilizing patented surface wave technology, are the
picture-perfect,
precision touch solution for highuse indoor applications.
With the longest touchscreen warranty available, the
IntelliTouch touchscreens are the preferred solution
for applications requiring unsurpassed
performance, reliability, and clarity. Its durable,
pure-glass surface delivers superior image clarity and
greater light transmission, and works even if scratched.
With its stable, drift-free operation the
IntelliTouch touchscreens guarantee a touch response
that is on target. The IntelliTouch touchscreens are
the ideal solution for kiosks, ticketing machines, gaming
machines, light industrial, and office automation.

SAW SecureTouch |
Elo’s SecureTouch touchscreens,
are the preferred touch solution for high-threat environments
and
indoor applications demanding rugged durability. SecureTouch
touchscreens deliver high impact
resistance; the durable screen comes in fully tempered,
heat or chemically strengthened glass that
continues to work even if scratched. With its stable,
drift-free operation, the SecureTouch touchscreens
are well suited for high usage environments and provides
a touch response that is accurate. SecureTouch touchscreens
are the ideal touch solution for kiosks in high-threat
environments, ticketing machines, interactive pay phones,
and gaming machines.

Infra Red CarrollTouch |
Elo’s CarrollTouch infrared touchscreens
provide optical sensor technology for applications in
harsh or
glass-free environments. The next-generation design
features a low-profile 4.5 mm bezel with nearly
pixel-level touch resolution and no parallax, and operates
in extreme temperature, shock and vibration,
and lighting conditions. The display is protected by
a choice of glass or acrylic overlays optimized for
optical clarity, security, or safety. With their optical
sensors, the CarrollTouch touchscreens provide
stable, drift-free operation, and deliver an extremely
sensitive, accurate touch response. CarrollTouch
touchscreens are the ideal choice in many industrial
automation, transportation, and in-vehicle
applications, POS terminals, and medical equipment.

Surface Capacitive |
Elo’s Surface Capacitive touchscreens
provide a solution for customers who want an alternative
to their
capacitive options available today. Elo has utilized
its 30 years of design knowledge and applied it to a
completely new capacitive touchscreen product line.
Elo’s narrow, patented Z-borders yield an inherently
linear sensor. The transparent protective coating makes
the sensor resistant to scratches and
abrasions. Touch performance is unaffected by everyday
abuse and mishaps such as dirt, dust,
condensation, liquid spills, contaminants or cleaning
solutions. Yet the surface capacitive touchscreens
respond quickly and easily with excellent dragging performance.
And the Elo-designed controller responds to quick, light
touches, and operates drift-free even in areas of poor
grounding.

Projected Capacitive |
Elo’s projected capacitive technology
enables touches to be sensed through a protective layer
in front of
a display, effectively allowing touchmonitors to be
installed behind store windows or vandal-resistant
glass. The transparent projected capacitive touchscreen,
which is installed between the display and a
protective outer layer, allows the complete system to
have unsurpassed resistance to impacts,
scratches, and vandalism commonly found in public-access
applications. The sensing technology is also unaffected
by moisture, heat, rain, snow and ice, or harsh cleaning
fluids, making it ideal for outdoor applications as
well. Offered in two versions: DirectTouch, which consists
of a 7.8 mm sensor with tempered glass outer layer,
and ThruTouch, which is optimized to work through a
customer-installed outer layer. The solid-state touchscreen
and controller provide increased levels of reliability
and longer life expectancy, resulting in a drift-free
response and a low-maintenance unit that requires no
recalibration.
